When a
laptop starting problems in performance or stopped working. If your laptop is
in under warranty, there is no problem because laptop’s company will fix the
error. But if it crossed the warranty date then its clear mean is that you
should go for new laptop because the cost of new mother board equal to the
present value of laptop.
Testing and results: firstly check the adapter and then
plug in it to laptop and push the start button.
· Adapter is okay but laptop not giving
sign of booting means not even a single LED glow.
· The LED is on, you can listen voice
of spin of fan, but nothing in the screen display. And after 10 to 15 second
HDD working sound also off.
· The LED glow and the fan spin, but
after a few movements the LED goes off.
· Display dark and you can listen to a
louder sound arriving from laptop computers.
· Laptop just starts and takes a boot
and then shut.
Troubleshoot:
Lid closed button: Check the “lid closed” button and
try pressing it a frequently. It’s usually a little button near the hinges that
is pushed while the lid is shut. Sometimes these buttons get jammed in the “lid
closed”. So the outcome is dark screen or non-starting laptop. Also some
notebooks have a magnet button that doesn't get jammed. Lots of new companies
remove this button.
Test laptop with another adapter: Although not typical, the adapter can able to give required power of mother board even if it has a LED power on
that lighting up when you connect it in. Even if you evaluate the outcome volts
and it’s OK, the adapter may didn't work and wouldn't provide that volts under
fill (typically 3.5A to 6A). You can use a worldwide adapter or go to a
separate mechanic and ask them to examine it. If you can arrange a multi meter
you can check adapter with it. It gives you clear information about resulting
voltage.
Reset the RAM:
remove the screw with proper screw driver, remove metal part of laptop
with both your hands, then remove both clips that keep the RAM and it will pop
up. Keep the RAM sides and carefully pull it out. After that take a clear
cotton cloth and clean it. To re install, place back the RAM and carefully push
it down until it hair in place. On some laptops the RAM is under key-board, or
one chip is on the bottom of laptop and another is under laptop key-board. It
is usually very easy to eliminate laptop key-board on almost all notebooks. Try
to discover the service manual for your model and look for the description
there. On the other hand, there are step-by-step picture books on the Internet
for most laptop models.
Remove the HDD (Hard Disk Drive) and
CD/DVD: Sometime any one power cable attached with HDD
or CD drive gets short. Due to this reason laptop restarts again and again.
Finally try
to turn-on laptop again with adapter connected in and with the RAM totally
reset and all detachable elements and battery power out. If there’s still
nothing on the display, you will need to carry it to a mechanic. And you should
check that the engineer should be qualified and went through any laptop repairing course from any recommended laptop repairing institute.
